The mission of the “Latinx Trailblazers Scholarship” program for high school students is to identify and nurture the future entrepreneurs and leaders of the business world.
This program highlights the importance of leadership, ethical business practices, and community involvement, inspiring students to develop skills that will enable them to make meaningful contributions to their local communities and states.
A community project could be performed by a student or a two-member team. The initial scholarship may be renewed for up to four years, depending on performance at college.
Eligibility: any *Latinx students currently enrolled in either the senior year of US-based high schools or the 1st year of accredited US four-year, full-time colleges (actual 2024 or expected 2025 graduation from a high school). Applicants must be current residents of any of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or US Territories.
*Latinx identity is defined by the US College Board and also by residence in Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands.
Authenticity: All submitted essays will be checked for authenticity, with the help of anti-plagiarism and GPTZero-type software.
Merit-only: The selection for the scholarship is based on an impactful community-focused project (theme, scope, scale, duration, impact), personal development and demonstrated leadership abilities. Strong academic profile (unweighted GPA > 3.5 on 4.0 scale) is preferred, but not as critical. Financial need will not be among considerations.
